Tamador Mokbel, Senior Certification Engineer at the BBA, achieves Chartered Engineer status with IOM3.
Achieving the title of Chartered Engineer from the Engineering Council UK through the IOM3 institute, is no easy feat. And when BBA people go above and beyond to keep excelling and pushing themselves, it’s something we celebrate!
This week, it was announced that Tamador Mokbel, a Senior Certification Engineer who’s worked at the BBA since February 2020, achieved that accolade this month. And we couldn’t be prouder of her achievements.
The process of becoming a Chartered Engineer involves the submittal of a professional review report and an interview to secure the title, and once qualified, means that they ‘develop solutions to engineering problems using new or existing technologies, through innovation, creativity and change and/or they may have technical accountability for complex systems with significant levels of risk,’ according to the Engineering Council of the UK.
Tamador, who is now entitled to use the post nominal designation (CEng) says of her achievement, “I’m thrilled to be awarded the Royal Engineering Charter title from the Engineering Council by the board of the IOM3. Acquiring the title of a Chartered Engineer brings a great sense of achievement and it is definitely worth the hard work over the past few months in order to obtain it. This prestigious status is worthwhile as it is evidence of expertise and well respected across the world- it is an internationally recognised standard that demonstrates engineering competence, gained through knowledge and on-the-job experience.”
Tamador goes on to highlight the support she received from BBA colleagues, past and present, for their guidance along the way.
“Thank you BBA for providing a positive working environment for us to flourish,” Tamador adds. “Thank you Materials Team for enabling me to constantly develop my competency. Thank you Dr Morteza Aboutalebi, Simon Williams, Natalie Colquhoun and Fabian Sanchez for supporting such achievement, and a MASSIVE THANK YOU to Omer Ismail for his perfect, incredible and continued guidance throughout the process.
