The UKCA transition deadline announced by government earlier this week does not currently include Construction Products, and remains as 31 December 2022.

Updated as of 16 November 2022

It was announced this week that the UKCA transition deadline had by been extended by 2 years. Upon further clarity, the Government has specified that at present, this does not include construction products, and that, “there will be different rules for medical devices, construction products, cableways, transportable pressure equipment, unmanned aircraft systems, rail products, and marine equipment. Government departments responsible for these sectors are making sector specific arrangements.”

We continue to monitor the updates provided by Government, and aim to seek clarity on this.
