Jon Denyer, Chief Scientist at the BBA, will be joining a key fire testing event in September. His expertise, developed over more than 37 years with the British Board of Agrément, will be called upon during a webinar being hosted by BSI and the Institution of Fire Engineers: Fire Testing – Concepts, Principles and Innovation.
The webinar will explore the process challenges currently faced in the fire testing industry, analyse the latest research and suggest how digital innovation may hold the key to unlocking some solutions.
There will also be an opportunity to update on fire testing procedures and changes to Approved Document B.
Jon will be explaining how a product certification body, such as the BBA, uses fire test data and how it is interpreted in terms of regulatory guidance.
With extensive experience and knowledge that continues to support the building physics-related projects of the BBA’s certification work; Jon has a deep understanding and knowledge of statutory building regulations, associated guidance documents and various product, design and calculation standards.
Jon also currently convenes a number of national and European standards committees in the area of thermal and hygrothermal performance of construction products, systems and buildings, and currently Chairs the BSI Head committee for Thermal Performance in the built environment.
