Have you ever considered how changing one component can change the whole building/structure and failing to test against all factors can impact the whole building process from insurance, specification and building – including the sustainability of the building itself?

The characteristics and behaviour of different materials and elements directly affect the safety and durability of buildings, for this reason, they undergo specific and rigorous tests to establish quality levels and to guarantee their adequacy, all of which are regulated by international standards.

These regulations define the parameters that must be taken into consideration when examining the safety and quality of construction products – determining the products’ mechanical capacities and their structural integrity, durability, weather resistance, safety and capacity to resist manipulations and intrusions through thorough testing. In addition to these regulated standards, products also need to be tested to check their durability, for energy efficiency, and aesthetics and environmental factors (noise of construction).
