Its purpose is to ensure that installation is carried out by competent installers and that the requirements as set out in the installation section of the relevant Agrément Certificate are adhered to.

How to become a BBA Approved Gas Membrane Installer
To become a BBA Approved Installer requires the following steps:
- It is the responsibility of the manufacturer which holds the Agrément Certificate to do due diligence on the potential Approved Installer.
- Once they have confirmed that the Installer is approved to install their materials, the BBA conducts a 2-part assessment:
- Office based audit of management system and checking that all installers have achieved NVQ Level 2
- Work In Progress site assessment to ensure work is carried out in compliance with the relevant manufacturer’s Agrément Certificate and ensure installer competence
- Once approved the BBA will verify a percentage of all installations scheduled by the Installer
- The Installer will receive a BBA Approved Gas Membrane Installer Certificate for the particular products they have been certified for
- The installer can be approved for more than one manufacturer with BBA Certified products
- Please note: In line with industry requirements, we must ensure that your work meets high-quality service standards. It is the responsibility of the Installer to ensure that all their operatives are NVQ2 qualified. This will be audited by the BBA and if breached, certification may be suspended or even withdrawn.
