The publication of the NBS ‘What Specifiers Want’ report for 2023 has shone a light on the influence that product certification holds in the construction industry. The question is, ‘Are Manufacturers ready for it?’

A lot has changed since the last time a report of this nature was run. In fact, 5 years has passed and in that time, we’ve seen a worldwide pandemic break out, crippling much of the industry, bringing on soaring prices and access to raw materials taking front position.

However, since 2017, the industry has ‘become more digital and the information that is needed, and the way it’s delivered, has changed’.

The NBS, an integrated global platform for everyone involved in the design, supply and construction of the built environment, have released their 2023 report, providing a snapshot on What Specifiers Want.

The report provides insight into how suppliers and manufacturers can best assist specifiers, and provide them with the information and support they need. We hope that it is a resource that supports you in addressing the industry challenges mentioned above and strengthens your relationship with specifiers working in the built environment.”
