BREAKING NEWS: UKCA TRANSITION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 2025:

The UK Government has announced that CE Marking will be recognised until 30 June 2025

(updated 9 December 2022)

UKCA: What happens after 2023? Things all manufacturers and users should know to be able to answer supplier questions.

Duration:
Approx. 31 mins

Presenters:
Shumaila Yousuf – Market Researcher @BBA
Jason Harries – Interim Head of Products @BBA

Post-Brexit, the United Kingdom now has its own regulatory framework for goods. From January 2023, manufacturers that have or want to introduce products into the UK market will need a UK Conformity Assessment instead of a CE Marking. The government extension to 2025 currently does NOT apply to the construction industry.

As the deadline approaches and more clients receive UKCA Marking Conformity, there are more questions on where we stand today and what changes can we expect when the transition happens. The focal point of this discussion will enable manufacturers, installers and certificate users (e.g. architects, building surveyors etc) to answer supplier questions around UKCA and product marking.

***Please note the sound quality clears up after the introduction***

In this discussion, you will discover:

  • Where are we today?
  • What happens after the transition
  • Aspects of UKCA (UKADs) that you may not be able to proceed with yet
  • Useful information and where to find it

*The information contained in this webinar is correct to the best of the knowledge of the participants at the time of its recording, however comments are informal.
